STRENGTHENING THE LINK
OF SMALL FARMERS TO
URBAN CITIES
There are millions of small farmers in the Philippines and most of them have remained poor in spite the fertile lands and abundant water supply. Among the many reasons that contribute to the harsh realities to a farmer's life is the low pricing of their output products.
We are no longer ignorant to the struggles of our dear farmers. In most cases, farmers even sell their products at low and unreasonable prices just to save their produce from wasting away. Many farmers have been discouraged to continue cultivating their existing crops due to the low market prices of their produce.
URBAN FARMS aims to empower our farmers by enhancing their marketing opportunities, thus, raising our farmers' esteem and ensuring that equitable treatment is provided to local planters through reasonable pricing strategies, taking into account the affordability and quality relevant to the target population across urban cities.
